christmas tree card daily challenge

Had great fun making this card for our christmas collection it is done in brocade background and dashing with dazzling diamonds of course now I am a very casual card and scrapbooker and my dear friend Helen would hate to see how I have placed the tree a bit wiggley lol but hey the wind was blowing a lady named Karen made this card on the internet

tree instructions

paper pieces for this tree 3x3 , 2 1/2 x 2 1/2 , 2 x 2 , 1 1/2 x 1 1/2
to begin fold in half horizontially unfold, fold in half vertically unfold , fold diagonally corner to corner to corner ufold the the other corner to corner unfold

now the tricky bit may pay to do on a plain piece of paper first so you can see what i mean ...
open up all folds that are flat now pic on of the triangle shapes to be the front and the opposite triangel the back.. ok now I just finger pinch them a bit so they sit out abit , then fold the two side triangles inwards hang on will take a photo

ok so now that that is done the final step is to fold two fron edge to the sent fold to form the decorative front as you will see

one you have done this all you have to do is add some two way glue to the lower edges and dust with dazzling diamonds the stack each one from large to small or small to large however you work with the tip of each inside the one above top with a brad with arms cut off and you have more bling

ok I hope that helps I now expect to see plenty aroung in christmas collections

p.s trudi and lisa I havent forgotten about the instructions you wanted I will get onto that within the week

My friend Karen and I drove past Karitane on our way back to Dunedin and she commented on the very small "beach" at Halifax , didnt sound much bigger than our yard. So we took this photo to show her girls what a beach can look like. We both took the same photo and she will post to me what she did with hers. I used boardering blue.... perfect match to the sea that day stamped and embossed vellum and white card stock , micro beads to edge some waves, punches oval and window and stick on pearls to connect with the sea

Not so cool

I have just a small statement about my projects and I am sure it stands with many other bloggers that I have no problem using my work for inspiration and if it is copied directly just acknowledging where it came from.

However when I find one of my projects uplifted onto an online Auction site trying to sell stampin -up stamps at a much higher price than if brought from a demo like myself

first apple cider 6x6

My up line has issued the challenge for our team for the month of Novemeber to post a post everyday....... dont know if I will be able to do it but I will have a go so please watch this space

this first post is going to go towards a collection of pages using the designer series paper apple cider which is in the current stampin up mini catalogue

christmas present cards

Inspired by Ros Visser, I know the bottom card( inside) is pretty busy to look at and next time I will try, the wheel gifts galore to see how it goes. We will be maiking these in a card group as part of our christmas collection I'm not so sure about the christmas colours I prefer dashing but that is on a big back order at the moment.........shame

christmas bauble shaker card

well its that time of the year and I am starting my christmas card classes this is a shaker card and yes I think it holds at this time 10 micro beads they are on my shopping list before next weeks class but I quite like these non traditional colours for a wee change hope the girls will like them . I know they really love the colours of dashing designer paper but I like to push out the boundaries sometimes

Yesterday the beginning of a long weekend was just awful weather It was bitterly cold and wet at times, the snow is back on the hills ,and the fire was on again in the daytime. In a break in the weather I nipped out the front and took a photo of our cherry tree before it was ruined We cut it back heaps last year , yet it still looks like a huge waterfall tin the front garden it must be about 12 foot high and nearly the same wide .
